A recent JAMA Network Open study shows that the average age of menarche (for those that don't know, that's the onset of menstruation) has slipped from 12.5 years for those born between 1950–1969 to just 11.9 years for the 2000–2005 cohort, meaning tweens are launching official period VIP status even earlier. What’s more, 15.5% of girls now get their first period before age 11, so “when’s your turn?” might be asked sooner than you think

.

Yet, despite the confetti of pink unicorns on the packaging, nearly 42% of teens admit they felt utterly clueless at their first crimson audition, and 1 in 4 juggle the extra stress of hunting down period products each month. That’s a double whammy of awkwardness—and nobody wants their debut cycle to feel like a surprise exam. These stats remind us that real solutions should be equal parts practical and empowering.

Cue The Daisy Pouch. Slim enough to slip into a jeans pocket or purse, totally leak-proof and odor-proof to keep secrets safe, and eco-friendly so Mother Nature gets a fist bump, too. Whether it’s a surprise pop quiz, basketball practice, or weekend emoji-fest, Daisy Pouch locks away used pads, tampons, and liners until you’re ready to toss them, No flushing fiascos, no red-faced drama—just pure confidence on the go. Add a stack to her backpack and watch her glow (and giggle) her way through those first-cycle jitters!
